Destiny Pharma
Blue Rocket has worked with Sussex-based Destiny Pharma on a project basis for the past four years. Previous activity successfully raised the organisation’s profile to attract investment for use in the development of various new drugs. Recently the focus has been on highlighting the benefits of a particular compound designed to kill the MRSA bug, which has shown continued resistance against five of the most difficult to treat strains in the world.

Destiny Pharma tasked Blue Rocket with securing ‘high-profile’ media coverage of this drug to underpin a new wave of funding discussions in spring 2008. This investment was an essential element of the company’s future growth plans and ability to continue testing the compound to bring it to market. The company also wanted to build stronger links with the Department of Health (DoH) and NHS to ensure they understood the significance of this new development.

Blue Rocket’s PR campaign paved the way for a relationship with the DoH and delivered over 200 high quality media articles in the just one week including the front page of the Independent on Sunday, ITN, BBC Radio 2 News, BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, BBC News 24, Sky News and the Daily Telegraph.
